Mud therapy is one of the most useful and effective natural therapies that has a comprehensive effect on the basic functions of the organism. Under the influence of mud baths, blood circulation improves, the contractility of the heart muscle changes, and the blood supply to arteries and capillaries increases. Mud therapy enhances the protective properties of the organism, increases its overall resistance.

Mud therapy is one of the most effective procedures, therefore, a favorable therapeutic effect can be achieved only with proper use. Healing mud has a stimulating effect on the connective tissue system, on the function of the endocrine glands, increases blood supply to the skin and local pathological foci, helps to increase metabolism, regenerative and reparative processes, increases joint mobility, accelerates the process of bone fusion after fractures, stimulates active metabolism, It has analgesic, absorbable and desensitizing effects.

Sulfide-silt mud used in our sanatorium is enriched with various biologically active substances — enzymes, vitamins, hormone-like substances and beneficial microflora. It also contains small amounts of substances similar in action to antibiotics. All this makes mud therapy especially effective.

Mud therapy is successfully used for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, complications after injuries of the spine and limbs, for the complex consequences of injuries of the peripheral and central nervous system, for some diseases of the digestive system, for chronic bronchitis and pneumonia, and for various skin diseases.
